KAHIGAMA
It began with a small discussion group. Some graduates of international relations Gadjah Mada University sparked the idea of contributing to the country and the world. Members of the group has seen international relations in today’s world is valuable in many reasons.
Firstly, International relations encourages travel related to business, tourism, and immigration, providing people with opportunities to enhance their lives. Secondly, international relations promotes successful trade policies between nations. Thirdly, International relations allows nations to cooperate with one another, pool resources, and share information as a way to face global issues that go beyond any particular country or region, including contemporary global issues include pandemics, terrorism, and the environment. Fourthly, international relations advances human culture through cultural exchanges, diplomacy and policy development.
As the awareness comes, then the group initiates to ask for all international relations graduates from Gadjah Mada University to found a forum aimed to contributing in developing a fair and prosperous relations between states. The forum, namely Keluarga Alumni Hubungan Internasional Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAHIGAMA), consist of many professionals all international relations graduates of Gadjah Mada University, as diplomats, international politics observers, journalists, NGOs, practicioners, etc. The synergy will hopefully contribute to the promoting of international understanding.
The KAHIGAMA is officially inaugurated on 4 March 2016.
