Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang—popularly known as KNB Scholarship—is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of the Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2006 to 1,608 recipients from 97 countries.
The role of the KNB Scholarship has been central in supporting Indonesian higher education institutions in their endeavor for internationalization. The number of international students is indicative of the global visibility of higher education institutions. In support of Indonesian universities’ internationalization and to accommodate the increasing interest from applicants across the globe, the number of scholarships per year has continued to grow.
In Universitas Gadjah Mada, this scholarship is offered to international students coming from the region mentioned above to study in the Master’s and Doctoral regular program, taught in the Indonesian language.

The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) is a grant program from the Indonesian Government that aims to support the achievement of SDGs targets, especially in the education sector. The scholarship is open for countries in grantee priority areas under the Foreign Affairs Ministerial Decree Number 15/2020.
As the scholarship is targeted for Civil Servants or recommended officials/citizens in selected countries, the selection process will be carried out in selective manner. There will be a wide range of study programs in Indonesian top universities and polytechnics offered to candidates from targeted countries.

The Justice for Palestine Scholarship is a national strategic initiative by the Isnad Foundation (IFPSS) to empower outstanding Palestinian talents in political science, international relations, and international law. The program offers 200 fully funded scholarships for master’s and doctoral students from Palestine and the diaspora to study at leading Palestinian, Arab, or international universities, aiming to enable Palestinian researchers to have a real impact in the political and diplomatic arena and contribute to the development of public and legal policies related to the Palestinian cause.
