Course Description
Besides being a crucial instrument for conflict resolution at the international level, negotiation is a daily activity that would be a shame to undertake without full awareness and high skill. The 2025 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution class aims to develop students into principled negotiators.
Through various classroom interactions, this course is designed to fulfill several objectives. First, it develops students’ analytical skills using the basic concepts of negotiation and conflict resolution. Second, it links the basic concepts of negotiation and conflict resolution to peace, justice, and humanity. Third, it critiques the application of negotiation and conflict resolution in everyday life and the international community. Fourth, it develops coherent research on the topic of negotiation and conflict resolution. Fifth, it practices negotiation and mediation activities in social and political conflicts.
