International Undergraduate Program

The Department of International Relations of Universitas Gadjah Mada administers the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) to prepare students with academic competence for international engagement. However, we are not content to merely be a participant of the global society, but also and more importantly to bring about a better world through change and transformation of the existing political, economic and social conditions. This program is part of our endeavor to create a just, peaceful and civilized global society.

We offer courses based on two main paths. Firstly, the courses are a set of studies on specific international relations related objects. Secondly, the courses are also about specific ways international relations is portrayed and ideas on what a better future should be. This way, students will not only be equipped with knowledge and skills, also a critical attitude towards international issues such as injustice, inequality, poverty, environmental degradation and violence. Specifically, we aim to develop an innovative and collaborative learning process in the study of international relations. This also serves to promote problem solving-oriented research in this academic field, in addition to facilitating students oriented towards reflection, action and emancipation.

Here are the registration methods for prospective students at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Our curriculum aims to help students plan their own studies through substances and guidelines.
