Abstract/Notes Military power is the main point for a country to protect their national security. Without military force, one country can’t be fully considered a sovereign country because security is one of the main point of sovereignity. Since Japan was defeated in world war II, Japan has been tied by article 9 of Japanese 1947 constitution as well as US-Japan Security Alliance since now is fully aware of the emergence of military force as the shield of the country. Defense treaty between Japan and US remains strong, especially in defense and military sector. US was really strict in responding Japanese military development became more flexible and even supports any kinds of Japanese military development that is called Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF) or Jietai (? ??). This becomes upheat because of the now ruling Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, that is really unique and has different characteristic compared to any Japanese Prime Ministers tenures before. In this contemporary era Japan shows a blast military development in supporting collective security act as well as facing several threats such as territorial conflict, The Uprising of China, terrorism, and any other international security threats.
