Established back in 1614, this research university hosted the first female student and first female lecturer in the Netherland. Its courses are mostly suitable for students taking the Global Politics and Security concentration. Nevertheless, there are enough options for students taking other concentrations

92 IBT (with a minimum of 20 per section), 580 PBT

1 May (Fall Semester) and 1 October (Spring Semester)

Minimum IELTS:

6.5 overall, no band under 5.5

Insurance:

EUR 100-120/month

Entry Requirements

• Students must be officially nominated by the home institution.
• Students must complete the online application.
• University of Groningen online application form must be submitted with the following supporting documents:

official academic transcript in English showing credits and grades so far, English language certificate, motivation letter in English (300 words), copy of your passport or EU identity card, course selection form (provided by University of Groningen), and study skills overview (provided by University of Groningen).
